A ride to Little Five Points in Atlanta, GA (April 27, 2003)

Little Five Points is not an “official” name – it is just the intersection of three streets (hence the name). It is just a couple of miles away from home:

It used to be a run-down area of Atlanta, but has flourished over the last few years as being a “hip” place. When you walk around you see many types of people, and you get the sense of a lot of underground culture flourishing around. This is the perfect place to do some people-watching! (more pictures will be posted in the future)

You see lots of grafitti and murals. Lots of rebuild homes have some kind of urban art close by.

You also see interesting things, like an old high-school remodeled to be an apartment complex (!?!?!)

But the real nice things are the presence of a lot of little theatres that play small and very interesting theatrical productions. The buildings themselves are remodeled old buildings from the 30s and 40s.

Close by is a park, that has a view of the midtown buildings. (The sun is blocking the view of the buildings)

The park is nice, it has a bridge and little creek.

The End.
