A tour of Luz's office and the Center for Nonlinear Sciences

Luz’s office is located in the Physics building, on the 5th floor.

From the other side with Luz

in the Center for Nonlinear Sciences (cool sign, no?)

The center is nice and cozy. There is a common area that has a kitchenette, a conference table and a magazine rack with the latest issues of journals:

and also there is a whiteboard for lectures and seminars:

Ok, lets’ go towards Luz’s office. Once you get out of the elevator on the 5th floor, you encounter this corridor.

After you walk through it, and turn left at the end, you find another corridor J. Luz’s office is the first door to the left.

But, before we get there, let’s take a look at the view at the end of the hallway. Once you reach the window, and you look to the right, you will see the buildings of Midtown Atlanta, and also straight ahead the building complex where Thano’s office is:

Looking to the left gives you another view of campus:

OK. Enough scenery. Let’s go back to Luz’s door:

And let’s open it:

And Luz is working! (or at least, she was before we interrupted her…J):

Let’s give a tour of the office. We start from the entrance and rotate 360 degrees. A whiteboard for notes:

Luz’s computer:

Luz’s desk:

The bookcase with some of the books:

Chairs for the visitors J:

And finally, the workspace of Slaven Peles, Luz’s officemate:

It is time to go, and we take one last picture!

Bye!
