Köhler Theory Analysis (KTA)

Sensitivity Analysis

The uncertainty of our molar volume estimates is assessed through a sensitivity analysis. The sensitivity, , of organic molar volume with respect to its independent variable, x, is

where “j” denotes the organic in question and x is any of σ, ω, εi, εj, υi, and υj used for determining . Equation 9 is then substituted into Equation 10 to explicitly compute the sensitivities, which are presented in Table 1. From, the contribution of uncertainty in x, Δx, to molar volume uncertainty is calculated as (with evaluated for the values of x used in the KTA). The total uncertainty in molar volume is then calculated as .
